Mya Mier-Luna

Executive Director & Founder

Mya founded Beyond House after seeing the impact of waste at large-scale community events. Her vision is to create a circular economy that directly supports veterans, underserved communities, and local youth by repurposing quality materials that would otherwise end up in landfills.

How it began

Beyond House grew from firsthand experience in live events, where tents, coolers, chairs, and other usable materials were often discarded after temporary events.

At the same time, veterans, youth, families, and community organizations could have benefited from many of those same resources.

Seeing waste and community need exist side by side sparked a simple idea: useful materials deserved to be connected to a second life.
